Shapeless is a native macOS menu bar utility for arranging windows. It is built to do its job without collecting, transmitting, or selling your data.

The short version

Shapeless collects no personal data and contains no analytics, tracking, or advertising. Everything the app needs to function stays on your Mac.

What the app accesses, and why

• Accessibility permission — used to read and set the position and size of the focused window, entirely on your device. Window information is never recorded or transmitted.
• Preferences — your shortcuts, ignored apps, and layout settings are stored locally on your Mac.
• Crash diagnostics — captured locally via Apple's MetricKit. Nothing is sent automatically; a report leaves your device only if you choose to email it to support.

Network access

Shapeless does not contact any server during normal window-management use.

When automatic updates are enabled, the app periodically checks shapeless.weiming.ai for a new version. This request includes only the information needed to deliver the update (such as the app and OS version) and is not used to identify or track you.

Data sharing

Shapeless does not share data with third parties, because it does not collect any.

Changes to this policy

Updates will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
